Carol D. Hawkins, MSN, NP

Ms. Hawkins is a graduate of George Mason University, earning a Bachelor of Science In Nursing degree with distinction. She continued her education at East Tennessee State University and received the master of nursing, graduating with the highest academic average in her class. She serves on the faculty of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and has been a professor in UT Knoxville’s School of Nursing.
Working with the UT Heart Lung Vascular Institute and Drs. Branca and Dudney, Ms. Hawkins helped develop a smoking cessation clinic. Her other professional interests include the treatment of pulmonary hypertension.
She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the East Tennessee Association of Advanced Practice Nurses.
